The customers are in charge of making sure they have enough money to purchace items and that they are given the correct change.
The teacher could also set up a piggy bank where there is a set amount in the piggy bank and the children have to figure out how to make up the exact amount of money in the piggy bank
The teacher could also have a number of newspapers and give the children a bugdget where they are too buy a number of items from the paper that add up to the budget.
